The 7 Pro does struggle a little more in tricky situations — like when your subject is heavily backlit. And when you really get in and pixel peep, you’ll find something to complain about on a technical level, but that’s true of any smartphone. Zoom back out and overall the 7 Pro’s images all look like they could belong in the top tier of smartphone cameras.

That’s despite the keys being relatively shallow, at 1.3 millimeters (we prefer at least 1.5 mm of key travel). A high actuation force of 75 grams gives the keys a certain weightiness, but they can feel stiff during long typing sessions. A quiet bump provides nice response when a key is registered, although I would have preferred a more clicky, audible feedback.

The Flip C434 also features Asus’ ErgoLift hinge, which lifts the back of the keyboard for a more comfortable typing experience. I’ve lauded the clever innovation in previous reviews, but, sadly, the effect is hardly noticeable on the Flip C434.

Unlike the P30 Pro and P30, which both have IP ratings (IP68 and IP53 respectively), the P30 Lite has no formal dust/water resistance certification.

For fans of the Surface Pro, it is easy to dismiss the sixth generation as a rehash of last year’s model with an option in black. However, I used the XPS 13 in my laptop for over an hour without any feelings of discomfort.
